when eight is enough

(or sometimes nine)

the time has come to say goodbye

and thanks, cause it’s been fun!

this taa is over now

just as fast as it begun

we’ve learnt so much, had games to play

warm ups to strain our brains

some have come from far away

others took the bus or train

there’s the ever patient linda

and gary’s on the ball

but when things get too tough

he just wants to shoot ‘em all!

alan works with gary,

phil, an interesting career

there’s felicity, full of knowledge

who absolutely shows no fear

tracey and i are ec’s

we’ve really learnt a lot

there’s joe, and of course, stephen

who’s here some days, and some days…not

then there’s the lovely lauren

who looks after morning tea

of course rene’ and “dan the man”

who knows all about i.t

at first some of us struggled

others were on the ball

but we all helped each other

so none of us would fall

there were days that were easier

but those you  couldn’t pick

other days, oh my god!

you had of wished you’d called in sick!

yes, at times i didn’t get it

climbed the wrong “training tree”

but you bet your ass i’d be top of the class

if this course was on poetry!

we’ll travel different roads now

but carson’s we won’t forget

how can we? after all

we still have an 8 week project!

but the real hero is standing here

in view for all to see

marg you’re swell, and you’ve taught us well

i’m sure everyone agrees!

so lets all pause a moment

and let us all before we go

give three cheers for margaret

the star of the taa show!
