Martin Dutton - Director

Martin's personal passions are his family, which includes two high energy boys, the Sydney Swans AFL team, skiing and swimming.

Martin's qualifications include - Master of Business Administration, Macquarie University; Bachelor of Science (Computing), University of NSW; Certificate IV in Public Sector Procurement; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.





David Williams - National Business and Sales Manager

David brings experience from a diverse background, initially in the Professional Services industry (Deloitte & KPMG), followed by 16 years in a variety of Human Resource Outsourcing positions gaining experience in Learning & Development, Recruitment and Career Management. Notably, David held the role of National Sales Manager for Kaplan Professional (a leading RTO in the Financial Services, Accounting and Real Estate Industries) for several years where his role included responsibilities for: business development; marketing; customer service; client relationship management; and project management of training, consultancy and practitioner tasks.

David gained further experience in the Learning Discipline working with Talent 2 as a Business Development Manager in their Outsourced Learning Division. In this role David worked with the directors of several acquired businesses gaining specific experience working with clients to provide online learning solutions.

David's qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics (Sydney University) as well as qualifying as a CPA (CPA Australia).





Janelle Newlyn - Queensland Operations Manager

Janelle has 30 years experience in Procurement & Contacting, Management, HR, Financial Planning, Learning & Development and Training Consultancy. Janelle has worked at various levels of Federal and State governments, including Veteran Affairs, Purchasing Australia and Queensland Department of Public Works. Her commitment and expertise in procurement education enabled her to establish strategic alliances across a range of government jurisdictions as well as tertiary and professional bodies. She was State Project Manager responsible for two major government procurement education frameworks that have been widely used for the past 10 years and received national and international recognition with Janelle personally winning several business achievement awards.

Janelle holds the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and brings to Carson an empathetic professionalism and is looking forward to working with people to support them in successful learning outcomes. Janelle's personal life is nurtured by many hours of work in her garden, devotion to and from her family and pets and sharing fine wine and food with friends.





Samantha Clarke - Principal Facilitator & Course Administrator

Samantha has over 12 years experience of training and assessments in corporate, non-profit and Government organisations in both South Africa and Australia.

She has a vast experience dealing with people from all walks of life and all levels of education and she has mediated many active learning processes within the education framework in South Africa.

Through her 6 year experience working with an international Children's Rights organisation, Save the Children Fund, she was exposed to the world of poverty alleviation, capacity building and integrated development projects. Samantha has been consulting since 2004 and moved to Australia June 2008 where she has been working at TAFE as a Course Coach and Assessor for TAE.

Samantha has a passion for training and a drive for developing innovative learning experiences which is always evident in her training sessions.





Jonathan Brough - Consultant Trainer

Jonathan is passionate about facilitating the highest quality outcomes for learners in vocational education and training (VET) and has 17 years' experience delivering training and assessment to national corporate clients from industry and government sectors.

Jonathan has a background in law and has also managed and consulted numerous businesses throughout Australia and internationally.

Jonathan’s relevant VET qualifications include Training and Education, Management, Business, and WH&S.





Dr Stewart Hase - Consulting Psychologist

Dr Stewart Hase is the co-founder of self-determined learning (heutagogy). He is a psychologist with an interest in learning, adaptation and change. Stewart has been working in the education sector for 42 years and is a skilled presenter. His presentations, that he has given all around the globe, are lively and highly interactive events where participants are asked to apply content to their specific contexts. Stewart has written over 130 published papers and books, most of them in the area of learning and change, and has been a therapist, nurse educator, academic, researcher, management coach and organisational consultant.




Tori Stevens - Client Administration and IT Coordinator

Tori is our Brisbane Client Administration and IT Coordinator and has been with Carson since September 2009. She ensures everything runs smoothly on our courses, looking after the needs of our participants and managing all immediate IT requirements, including our course equipment. She also maintains our website.

Tori will be able to assist you with any information about our courses. She also holds degrees in both Forensic Science and Film and Screen Media Production.
