Dr Margaret Kling - Managing Director & Trainer

Margaret Kling has over 30 years of experience in training and development. She has designed, written and delivered training in HR, Management, Statistics, Legal Administration, IT, Customer Service, Music and Sales. She has worked in the Private sector, Government, TAFE and Universities and held positions such as Training Coordinator, IT Help Desk Supervisor, Music Teacher, Sports Coach and more. Margaret is an Accredited Practitioner and former council member of the Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD) and a former Secretary and Executive Board member for Adult Learning Australia (ALA). She is also a graduate from Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Margaret's qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Psych), a Master of Training and Development, a Diploma and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TESOL and a PhD (Adult Learning). She has published many articles and also a chapter in a VET textbook. Margaret has a love of learning and engaging adult learners, and this is evident in her dynamic training style.




René Kling - General Manager & Trainer

René Kling has over 26 years experience in Management, Procurement and Supply Chain. He has held positions such as Procurement Manager, National Logistics Manager, Senior Management Consultant and Acting Director. Organisations he has worked for include RAAF, Mobil Oil, Ford Motor Company, Local Government and national consulting firms. His qualifications include a Master of Business (Logistics Management), an MBA, a Master of E-Commerce, the Diploma and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and completing a Doctor of Education and Master of Law (Public Procurement & Policy). René was formerly the Queensland Chair for CIPS Australia. He is a Fellow, Queensland Chair and Director of the AIPMM.

René delivers training in Supply Chain Management for the Queensland and NSW Governments. He lectures in Management, Logistics, HRM and Purchasing. René often chairs and speaks at international conferences. He has written two chapters for a textbook, "Supply Chain Management: A Procurement Perspective". René's has the ability to make learning both effective and fun!




Dan Graver - General Manager - Tasmanian Training Institute

Dan is General Manager for the newly established subsidiary of Carson Australasia, Tasmanian Training Institute. Dan has been with Carson as IT and Business Manager since 2004. As the IT Manger he looked after the technology requirements for both the Queensland office. He now administers the websites for Carson Australasia and Tasmanian Training Institute.

Dan holds a Certificate IV and Diploma in Training and Assessment, an IT Certificate, a Diploma of Business and is currently completing both a Diploma in Web Design and a Bachelor of Digital Innovation. Dan is responsible for the design and delivery of new IT courses to be offered through our Tasmanian arm in the second half of 2012. He also administers all RTO requirements for the Tasmanian Training Institute expected to offer all qualifications registered under Carson Australasia.




Janelle Newlyn - Queensland Operations Manager

Janelle has 30 years experience in Procurement & Contacting, Management, HR, Financial Planning, Learning & Development and Training Consultancy. Janelle has worked at various levels of Federal and State governments, including Veteran Affairs, Purchasing Australia and Queensland Department of Public Works. Her commitment and expertise in procurement education enabled her to establish strategic alliances across a range of government jurisdictions as well as tertiary and professional bodies. She was State Project Manager responsible for two major government procurement education frameworks that have been widely used for the past 10 years and received national and international recognition with Janelle personally winning several business achievement awards.

Janelle holds the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and brings to Carson her an empathetic professionalism and is looking forward to working with people to support them in successful learning outcomes. Janelle's personal life is nurtured by many hours of work in her garden, devotion to and from her family and pets and sharing fine wine and food with friends.




Tori Stevens - IT & Accounts Manager

Tori is our Brisbane IT and Accounts Manager and has been with Carson since September 2009. She manages our MYOB accounts for our Queensland office and all immediate IT requirements, including our course equipment. Tori also assists Dan with the maintenance of our websites.

Tori holds the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She is also a qualified Forensic Scientist (but we hope she will not need this in her current role)!




Emma Solomon - Administration & Officer

Emma's role in our team is to attend to course administration. She looks after our general office administration and monitors our course files and database.

Emma has spent time overseas as an exchange student and graduated Dux of English, Ancient History and Music from Lourdes Hill College. Emma holds the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is currently studying to achieve her Degree in Law/Business Management at UQ.
